Express Entry - Nova Scotia Experience

The Federal Express Entry Program is compatible with this stream of the Nova Scotia PNP program. This stream is open to highly skilled immigrants with prior work experience in the Province of Nova Scotia.

Eligibility Requirements:

One year of minimum experience required in a NOC (National Occupational Classification) B, A, or A role within the province.
The age range for the requirement is 21 to 55.
Graduate degree comparable to a Canadian high school education or above.
For individuals with skilled expertise in NOC A and 0 positions, language competence in French or English is required at CLB - Canadian Language Benchmark level 7, and for jobs under NOC B, it is at CLB level 5.

Nova Scotia Express Entry LMP - Labor Market Priorities

The province of Nova Scotia can prioritize specific occupations for migration thanks to its stream Labor Market Priorities LMP. The first emphasis job is Early Childhood Educators, and it offers Letters of Interest to target occupations.

Possess a Letter of Interest (LOI) provided through the Federal Express Entry system by the NSNP.

This employer-driven stream is intended for recent graduates and foreign workers. Employers in Nova Scotia who are unable to fill open positions with Canadian citizens or permanent residents may apply for skilled workers once they have received an affirmative labor market impact assessment, or LMIA.

Requirements:

A full-time, permanent employment offer from a Nova Scotian company.
A minimum of one year's experience that is related to the position is needed (low- and semi-skilled workers must have worked for the company offering the position for at least six months).
The age range for the requirement is 21 to 55.
Possess a high school diploma at minimum.
Possess the appropriate training, credentials, and/or abilities.
English or French language proficiency equivalent to CLB Level 4 for low- and semi-skilled workers and CLB Level 5 for skilled individuals.
Financial means to establish a successful life in Nova Scotia.

Nova Scotia Occupations In Demand

Jobs That Are in Demand The goal of Pilot of Nova Scotia is to fill the many open intermediate-skilled positions in the province. Nova Scotia Physician

The Nova Scotia Physician category helps the province’s Public Health System appoint General Practitioners, Family Physicians, and Specialist Physicians. Its purpose is to help recruit and retain doctors to fill positions that the province is unable to fill with Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

Requirements:

Hold the status of a legal resident in the country that you currently call home.
If you are a worker or temporary visitor living in Canada, provide proof of your legal status.
Provide proof of your present country of residence's legal status if you don't live in Canada.
If your status has been lost, you are not eligible to apply until it is reinstated.

Job Offer

Approved and documented chance to work as a NOC 3112 family physician and general practitioner or NOC 3111 specialist physician with the Izaak Walton Killam Health Centre or NSHA – Nova Scotia Health Authority.

The approved job offer needs to be on the IWK or NSHA’s official letterhead and must be:

Dated and bearing the signature of the NSHA or IWK physician recruiting authority.
Dated and with the applicant's signature indicating their acceptance of the offer.
Indicate your eligibility for licensing by visiting the NS College of Surgeons and Physicians.
Indicate that the candidate is eligible to submit an application for privileges and credentials with the NSHA and IWK.

Education and Training

An official copy of the Education Credential Assessment (ECA) or proof of the education and medical training required by Nova Scotia to get a license.

Language Capability

The job offer from the IWK or NSHA attests to the candidate’s proficiency in one of Canada’s official languages.

Nova Scotia Entrepreneur

The Nova Scotia Entrepreneur category is intended for applicants with a background in senior management or company ownership. They have to be Nova Scotian citizens, purchase an already-existing company or launch a brand-new venture, and actively take part in the day-to-day management of that company.

Under the Entrepreneur stream, candidates are initially granted a Provisional Work Visa. After a year of business operation, they are eligible to apply for Permanent Residence. Candidates from a pool are invited to apply by the stream using the EOI, or Expression of Interest, procedure.

What are the minimum requirements for NSNP's Entrepreneur stream?

Be at least 21 years old.
Have and maintain a business in Nova Scotia with the intention of making it your permanent home.
Possess a minimum net worth of $600,000.
Make a minimum investment of $150,000 to start or acquire a business in the province.
Possess a minimum of three years' worth of experience actively running a business (minimum of thirty percent ownership) or five years' worth of experience in a senior management position in a firm.
Attain a minimum of CLB Level 5 proficiency in writing, reading, speaking, and listening in English or French.

Nova Scotia Overseas Graduate Entrepreneur

Similar to the Entrepreneur category, the Overseas Graduate Entrepreneur category in Nova Scotia is exclusively for recent graduates of Community Colleges or Universities in the province. They have to have purchased or started a business in Nova Scotia and used the Post Graduate Work Visa to run it for a full year. If a candidate plans to live in the province, they are nominated by PR. The category uses an EOI format that is comparable to that of the Entrepreneur category.
