Saskatchewan Employment Offer

Skilled workers with a job offer for a skilled occupation in the province can apply for Saskatchewan immigration through this sub-stream. Candidates with evidence of legal status in Canada, as well as those living outside of Canada, are eligible to apply for this subcategory.

Saskatchewan Occupation-In-Demand

Skilled workers who do not have a job offer but are highly skilled in a popular occupation in Saskatchewan can apply for this sub-stream of the Saskatchewan PNP. SINP publishes a list of vocations not included in this substream. Candidates with evidence of legal status in Canada, as well as those living outside of Canada, are eligible to apply for this subcategory.

Saskatchewan Express Entry

Skilled workers in the federal Express Entry Pool who want to live and work in Saskatchewan can apply for this sub-stream. Candidates with evidence of legal status in Canada, as well as those living outside of Canada, are eligible to apply for this subcategory.

The requirements for the Saskatchewan Sub-Category Express Entry Sub-Category for applicants are:

Have a profile in the Express Entry pool with a job seeker validation code and Profile number
Secure at least 60 points on SINP's point assessment grid
Provide valid language test results from an authorized agency that correspond to the Express Entry profile's results
Have completed one year of post-secondary apprenticeship, training, or education on par with the Canadian school system, culminating in a Degree, Certificate, or Diploma
Diplomas and degrees earned outside of Canada must be evaluated for an Educational Credential Assessment
Possess at least one of the following experience requirements in your field of occupation, training, or education:
One year of work experience in a (non-trades) skilled occupation during the last ten years
Two years of work experience in a skilled trade within the last five years; or
One year of job experience in Canada (non-trades and trades) within the last three years
Possess work experience in a highly skilled NOC occupation 0, B, or A that is not on the rejected occupation list.
Obtain appropriate licensure in Saskatchewan if your occupation is a skilled trade or regulated. A certificate from the Saskatchewan Trade Certification and Apprenticeship Commission is necessary for skilled trades.
Have a Settlement plan and evidence for settlement funds.

Saskatchewan Experience Category

Skilled Worker having Existing Work Permit

This sub-stream is open to skilled individuals who have been working in Saskatchewan for at least six months and hold a valid Work Permit.

Semi-Skilled Agriculture Worker having Existing Work Permit

The employment offer presented to applicants does not have to be in the same occupation as their past work experience. However, the candidates must meet the specific employment conditions listed in the NOC.

Health Professional

Nurses, physicians, and other health professionals who have worked in Saskatchewan for at least 6 months and hold a valid Provisional Work Permit are eligible to apply for this sub-stream.

Hospitality Sector Pilot Project

Overseas nationals who have worked in Saskatchewan for at least 6 months in one of the three occupations are eligible to apply for this sub-stream.

Long Haul Truck Drivers

This sub-stream permits Long Haul Truck Drivers operating in Saskatchewan province with a valid Provisional Work Permit to apply for a Canada PR Visa.

Saskatchewan Student Stream

This sub-stream is open to international students who have completed their post-secondary education in Canada or Saskatchewan. It is further broken into two sub-categories.

Saskatchewan Business Immigration

Entrepreneur

The Saskatchewan Entrepreneur Sub-Category allows applicants and their families to establish, start, or collaborate on a business in the province. Applicants must be actively involved in the business and live in Saskatchewan. It has a method that includes three stages.

Successful candidates arrive in Canada with a Provisional Work Permit. They are eligible to file for a nomination after spending six months establishing their firm in the province.

International Graduate Entrepreneur

The International Graduate Entrepreneur Sub-Category of Saskatchewan intends to support international students who graduate from Saskatchewan universities in remaining in the province as entrepreneurs and attracting investment for their businesses.

Farm Operators/Owners

Individuals with farming experience who intend to own and operate a farm in the province are eligible to apply for this Saskatchewan sub-category. It also provides a road for new farmers looking to establish themselves in Saskatchewan.

Successful candidates are immediately offered the Canada PR Visa. Specific candidates may also arrive in Saskatchewan on a Provisional Work Permit while their PR Visa application is being processed.

Saskatchewan PNP Draws

The Saskatchewan government conducts regular PNP draws. Through the drawings, it seeks individuals from the IRCC Express Entry pool who meet the requirements of any of the Saskatchewan immigration streams that are associated with Express Entry. SINP interviews candidates in the Express Entry pool and personally invites them to live and work in Saskatchewan.

How to calculate points for Saskatchewan PNP?

The SINP Points Calculator, also known as the Saskatchewan Nomination Assessment Grid, is used to determine applicants’ eligibility for the SINP program. The assessment is skill-based, facilitating the arrival of skilled immigrants in Saskatchewan.

The evaluation grid has a maximum score of 110 points. To qualify for the program, an applicant must score at least 60 points. To demonstrate that they have met the 60-point criteria, candidates must provide supporting papers with their SINP application.

The SINP point grid is also used to rank candidates’ expressions of interest. Candidates with the highest marks are more likely to receive an invitation to apply for SINP.

If a large number of candidates have the same score, Saskatchewan Province has the right to use additional criteria to prioritize candidate selection. In this situation, SINP prioritizes individuals having a connection to the province’s past education/experience/relative. If there are still numerous candidates with the same scores, SINP will prioritize those with higher language scores and more years of job experience.

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program allocates points to candidates based on the following five factors:

You must be under the age of 50 when submitting an application to SINP. This component has a maximum score of 12 points.

3) Work Experience:
